Born in 2001 in Tbilisi, Georgia, Oto Tsagareishvili is a painter and visual artist whose practice transforms everyday scenes into intimate visual narratives shaped by observation and lived experience. He holds a BFA in Art, Media, and Technologies from Parsons School of Design, The New School, completed between Paris and New York. His education across these contexts informs a practice attentive to contemporary life, visual culture, and the subtle dynamics of social space.
Working primarily in figurative painting and drawing, Tsagareishvili focuses on his immediate environment and social surroundings. His work explores themes of identity and intimacy through scenes drawn from routine moments, leisure, and interpersonal exchange.
Through restrained palettes, deliberate framing, and close attention to gesture and posture, his compositions emphasize atmosphere and quiet tension over overt expression. Blending memory with immediacy, Tsagareishvili’s practice examines the shifting boundary between reality and performance, revealing how meaning unfolds within the ordinary rhythms of everyday life.
